On Good Friday, we are yet again reminded of the sufferings which our Lord has endured and also the love which He has shown to us when He allow Himself to be crucified on the cross. That itself is pure sacrifice, which is done out of unconditional love. Whereas Easter is a reminder of the victory which our Lord Jesus have over death when He rose again in 3 days.
Death indeed could not defeat Him, and Jesus's resurrection is basically the core of why Christianity exists. If Jesus have not risen, then our faith would have been worthless and Christianity would be just a mere religion.
On these 2 significant days, personally, I am again reminded on how gracious and loving God is to me, especially during my times of weakness, where I would sometimes feel overwhelmed with all the tasks on hand, and ignored quiet time (QT) together with Him.
Imagine if I did that with my own parents, where I ignore them because I am too busy with work. Obviously that would hurt them right? Similarly, He would also be hurt if we did the same thing to Him, by ignoring QT. Furthermore, the fact that He have done so much for us on this very day would definitely hurt Him even more if we ignore Him in our lives.
Thank you Lord for reminding me again of the importance of doing QT, which is also a time of refreshing and renewing of strength from Him.
Just to share a video that was sang by Kari Jobe, entitled, "You are for me" which was sang during church today.
Thank you Lord for reminding me once again of who You really are and that You are always for me.
Have a blessed Easter everyone. :)
Starting out again is never easy. Disappointments come and go but life still moves on. So, no matter what problem you are facing, you can always start afresh, with God guiding you through. And there is always a glint of hope even in the darkest hour. -Lawrence-
