CGLT 2011

I have to say it's a very nice camp or rather training, especially when it's the first time I get to know other CGL's rather than being confined to my own CG only, which is on Thursday. It's just so interesting to see different opinions/ideas/sharings being shared during CGLT.

Basically, it's an eye-opener. 'Hard-core' facts about the bible from Stephen which leads me to questioned myself on whether I really know the bible or not -.- , and many other stuffs relating to the world today such as consumerism, meritocracy, creation care, post modern era and many more. Those stuffs are the things which I wouldn't have thought of until today. Maybe I would need to listen a second time before the understanding creeps in, especially on Stephen's plenaries. :)

Anyway, what I like most is the mock BS session, where I get to know what to actually expect when you are facilitating a bible study and on how to deal with conflicting opinions, awkward silence etc, and I have to say that I have lots to improve on that. Well, it's a journey of learning anyway. :D

Basically, there are 5 areas which need to be done in a CG which is

1. Building relationship/community
2. Nurturing
3. Adoring God
4. Worship + Prayer
5. Outreach

We, the CGL's actually brainstormed ideas on how to achieve that. But most certainly, the first CG meeting would be the most important as it actually would be the stimulant on whether the new freshie were to stay put/to stay on with the CG. Ernest and me have actually discussed on how the first CG would be, and hopefully it turns out fine. :)

I am sure that I would be able to share more after going through this semester. What's more, I am probably tackling 25 AU's this semester, so really need God's grace to help me to juggle time between everything.

Off to Festival of Praise next. So, ends my post for now. ^^
